Cannot restore email notifications after uninstalling app

OK, when I installed the ebay app, I started getting notifications through the app as one might expect, and the normal email notifications I used to get stopped. Now I have uninstalled the app, and would like to get notifications by email again.

I have gone to account -> communication preferences on the website and clicked SAVE on all of the forms there. Everything looks right, but no luck, no email.

What kind of garbage programming is this? (I can say that because I have been programming for over 4 decades.)

Can you let us know what kind of email notifications are you expecting which you no longer receive , like Member Communications or Buyer or best offer for instance?
