I see lots have had the same issue with this latest update.
So what is the solution to this? I cant view my transactions or buy anything!!!

Instructions here: How to update your eBay app

- Requires Android 10 or better
- Requires iOS 17 or better, but there are directions for iOS 16 users to download an older version of the app

If you have iOS 15 or Android 9 and cannot update to a compatible OS, you can still access eBay from a web browser on your device, and you'll probably want to delete the app so links open in your browser instead of the app.

I have ios 15. I accessed it from my phone browser. I could search and read messages. As soon as i went to leave feedback it took me to the app and that stupid update stuff again!
