App returns "invalid request (Request. TIDE. 485390)" on IOS 9.3.2

I have an iPhone with IOS9.3.2

I can open app but it just returns "Invalid Request. (Request. TIDE. 485390)"

It's been almost a month now and eBay support are either being very lazy or very vague. 

Anyone have the same problems/a solution?

Can you let us know what version of the app you have installed?

Hi. It was version 5.16.1. Although I have now deleted as it's worthless until fixed. I have reinstalled occasionally to see if an update has fixed, alas not.

Hi ebay. Still no solution to this and I'm seamingly being ignored by customer service now who just fob me off with the standard 'we'll be in contact in 48hrs' but never are.

I get the impression nobody is looking into this problem at all and any users who are experiencing this problem are too few to warrant any serious inquiry as to the root of why this is happening. 

Very not impressed with eBay right now.

The latest apps require iOS 11 and higher to run. If you are having trouble with an older version and there are no updates available please use www.ebay.com in the Safari browser.

Hi, this is not correct. I've managed to download the app and use it on someone else's iPhone which is iOS 10.3.3.

I have the same problem ( iPhone). No help out there I’m afraid. I can get eBay on my 5 year old tablet, but not on this 12 month old phone. Not good.

If your iPhone has iOS 11 or higher please uninstall the app and get the latest version from the App Store

Rubbish, the OS 11 didnt solve the problem, it related to internet program, like I said if you use" apples" Safari

there isnt a problem, this problem doesnt go away with the new app loaded either, so its related to the firefox,

chrome or Microsofts internet program. Some resent changes that the IT guys made caused this everytime this change a screen format it seems to happen....

Can you please let us know what user ID you are using when you are getting this error. Can you also post the app version and OS version you are using.

I updated my apple phone to the latest IOS version, which was 13.  Then uninstalled my old Ebay App and re-installed it.  It worked and I was able to get in!

My both eBay Apps on iPhone and iPad stopped working on January 31. I guess eBay simply stopped support to versions after 9.3.2.  Whilst Amazon works smoothly on both. I suggest eBay to restore support to iOS 9.3
