Android app after recent software upgrade lost my KERCHING sound alerts

Since the recent software update 8 Feb 2018, I have lost my Ker-Ching cash register sound alert, which I had set for sales and for payments.

It's disappeared completely.

The mobile app was useful to keep me posted on sales happening while I am out and about. Now it is useless to me, as I don't use it to buy or enter my sales, prefering the full platform for this.

So I may just uninstall the app. I can get a Kerching sound to work on my webmail a/c and I get my emails on android mobile device. Ebay was marginally faster than email notifications by eBay via gmail but now that's all on its head.

Crazy that there is no tech team to resolve the glitches and to keep ebayers advised on this discussion board.

I am done with searching through the boards and finding "KerChing missing" problems stretching years back before I was around.

What's being done about it? Before you ask, I have Android 7.0 on a Moto G4 mobile device

Please visit the Google Play Store on your phone and uninstall the eBay app. Restart your phone and then reinstall it via the Play Store. This should fix the sound.

No , that didn't work.

Can you talk me through the stages, as to where exactly the selling notifications , specifically a kaching when an item has sold and when paid for, are to be found.

Maybe you can add a screenshot.

Here is how you can check your settings.

1. Tap the menu in the upper left corner

2. Tap settings

3. Tap  Notifications

4. Tap selling notifications

I also lost the cash register sound, the cha ching, when the Feb update came out.  I have a Samsung Android 7 as well.  You fix to uninstall, turn off and then reinstall has not brought my Cha Ching back.  The default sound is still the general Droid sound for texts, etc, not a custom ebay cash register that I had come to love.  Did the update move this sound to one of the other sound choices????  Or is it just gone?

Same happened to me. I fixed it by doing a google search for cash register mp3 (or any other sound you want). Download the file and save it to your Notifications folder (on android). That should fix it
