I have been trying to make PayPal payment for about 3 hours now. I have tried different browsers and different computers. I have cleared cookies out numerous times.
Paypal says "Logging you in" and gets stuck right there. I can log directly into my PayPal account, but I can't make payment from EBay.
I called Paypal and they said the fault must be with EBay.
Any ideas?

I just called EBay and they said the problem is with PayPal and they have other people reporting the same problem. It probably has something to do with EBay and PayPal splitting.
They said to contact the seller directly and have them send me an invoice. This kind of stuff reminds me of when I first joined EBay in 1999. Things were not so easy then either. LOL.

I might have found the problem. Since I am shipping to my company, in PayPal on the 2nd line of the shipping address I had "Pratt & Whitney". In EBay, I had "Pratt and Whitney". I changed the address to "Pratt & Whitney" in EBay and tried to send a payment and it went through. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Simple fix, but I had no idea that is what the problem was since I've had the same shipping addresses set up for 10 years.
Since the split, PayPal has probably gotten strict on the shipping address!

Crud. I spoke too soon. It only worked one time. I bought something else and now I can't make payment again. This really stinks.

I tried making payment about 7 times and nothing went through. Then I noticed that in EBay, my name had the middle initial used so I changed it to match my PayPal account with no middle initial. The next time I tried, payment went through.
I'm not going to get too excited though since the next time I try to make payment, based on my past headaches, it will probably not go through.

A week later and it is still not logging in. Some sites say it has to do with "Two-factor authentication".
So the descent into madness begins...........

Through their on-line email system, I sent PayPal a very detailed message about the problems I am having. They sent me back an email regarding EBay coupons......."Thanks for your e-mail. Based on your selection, we are sending you some details about eBay coupons."
HA HA HA HA HA.....That is too funny. I needed a laugh.

I got hacked once before and I don't want to disable my security key for long time periods. I buy stuff once or twice a week, so for now I'm going to:
log into PayPal first and disable the security key
then make payment through EBay
then go back into PayPal and turn the security key back off.
It's a pain in the rear to have to do this every time, but it's better than risking getting my account hacked.

James had a suggestion that is much easier and so far, it works GREAT!!!
Entering your "password + security key numbers" with no additional spaces or symbols works. When you go to enter your password in paypal, press your security key and add the numbers to the end of your password.
