Need help w/ Hallmarks on Antique Bar Pin

My friend purchased this bar pin in an antique store more than 20 years ago.  The store personnel were unable to provide any info about the pin, but she bought it because she really liked it. I am trying to figure out approx. age, maker & metal content, but can't figure out what the hallmarks mean. The letters look like J.C. but it looks like there might be a letter preceding those that is covered w/ solder? The animal is similar to other hallmarks I have seen but I can't find anything identical. I can't figure out what the other hallmark might be. Any help is much appreciated. I don't know a lot about jewelry. Thank you.IMG_6153.jpgIMG_6138.jpgIMG_6134.jpgIMG_6151.jpgIMG_6173.jpgIMG_6179.jpg

Found it! It's actually A.J.C which stands for Alfred James Cheshire and I will provide a link to view as there is one on the bay. The last symbol I cannot make out, it's probably the town, but this gives you something to go on.

Magnificent piece and it's old. Looks English with the Lion stamp ( silver) J.C. or J.G. and it does have the "C" clamp I'm still investigating this piece so I look further in morning. Silver

There's another letter before the J, can this be cleaned up in anyway to view better?

I might also add that the Lion passant is a Britain stamp for 935 sterling, note I said 935.

Thank you for looking and for the info you have already provided. I took a closer look at the pin to see if I could uncover that first letter. It looks like it is actually covered by a metal piece. The pin looks like it could have been made in 2 parts (front & back) & maybe molded together. I have included a few more photos that show what I am trying to describe.  I can only see part of that first letter which could be an 'I'. IMG_6759.jpgIMG_6762.jpgIMG_6764.jpg

Wow! You are good! Thank you soooo much! I do plan on selling it, but I think I will enjoy looking at it awhile longer because it is so pretty. Much appreciated (and, you are right, he does seem to like his grapes 🙂 ).
