I have this brooch that tests out as sterling silver that I believe is a Victorian Mourning Brooch, with a twist.
It is a bit unusual in that you unscrew the center flower and can remove the black onyx ring.
Does anyone have a clue as to it's proper name/age are?
I am stumped.
No Markings but I am posting 4 of the images I have.
Thanks in advance!

Based on the hinge I would say more likely to be 1940s than Victorian, JMHO

Not sure about that, The metal is kinda "rustic" if you know what I mean...
But maybe it would appeal to the SteamPunk stylists
