Art deco enamel on pot metal?  Does that seem correct to you?  And those vertical lines in the enamel on the right side I think are cracks and not intended - do you agree?  Thanks.

I agree the lines in the enameling is cracking.  I think your piece maybe done using foil.  Look up foil enameling.

Thanks Sandy.  I searched foil enamel and most pieces I saw were more recent, but I did see 1 or 2 similar to this pin.   Your mention of foil reminded me of Ginbari enamel, where again I saw 1 or 2 similar.
