Each one is approx. 1 in. high and 7/8 in. across.  Cufflinks?  I am pretty sure they are porcelain and look to be handpainted.

Nope - lady's shirt buttons. Womens clothes often had those tuxedo holes too, back when. They go back to the china painting craze at the turn of the century.

I was just going to chime in and I saw Evelyn already had. Ladies used to wear those on the collars of their dresses. What a coup to find those. I hope they bring you mad cash!
