I need the part but I can't find what I need after searching the Internet using various cominations of search terms. Can anyone help? Even taking the pin off the back of an old and unwanted brooch is OK., if you have one. I would have a jeweler weld it into place if gluing down the base wouldn't work.
I can find pin stems galore, but not in gold-tone, not the correct style, and not in the right length. I need 1 & 3/4".

You can find pin stem assemblies at a craft store like Miachels (spelling?). They do come in different lengths. You can either remove the closure part on the brooch and use the whole assembly, or you can snip off the hing and pin part, and just use that. I use "Five Second Fix" ( as advertised on TV ) to attach it to the broach. It works much better than JB Weld, and no waiting for curing!

Figured I would use an emory board to file it down.
I've looked at Michael's and all they have are the kind with the bar across and that's not what I need. The brooch is multi-levels on the back.
Sigh.
