Since when does EBAY change a sales fee on sales tax, handling fees and shipping cost? And what are handling fees? I did all the handling!

Ebay has been charging those fees since most sellers got switched to managed payments. Get used to it because it is not going to change. Factor it into your prices like all the other sellers have done.

Last year when the SCOTUS ruled that states could collect sales tax on internet sales. As for shipping and handling, that went into effect years ago. It was meant to stop people from charging $1.00 for the item and $100 for shipping, which many did before they started charging fees on shipping. Most sellers don't apply additional handle fees anymore, they just include it in their shipping costs. In other words, eBay charges fees on the total amount collected from the buyer.

Why are we paying commission on taxes? If the buyer is paying the tax, why is ebay collecting on the taxes also?

All money processors charge on the full amount the buyer pays, including sales tax. Ebay is no different except the percentage is higher than a typical B&M store would pay.
Were ebay to lower the percentage on just the sales tax, ebay would want to make up the revenue somewhere and that would be by raising the FVF on the item and shipping.
One way or another, you are going to pay so factor it in to your business model.

I'm never going to sell through EBAY again. They are a rip-off. When I first joined the commission was reasonable, now they charge 12.55% not only on the selling price but on handling and on the freight and taxes, bull****.
