Pottery identification assistance

This is a pot that was my great grandmother's...(1850-1927) it's obviously a planter but I was wonder if it can be identified. It's unmarked but has some odd qualities that might identify it, or it just might be an old pot?     thank you!

Very strange shaped pottery teapot.
