This 11" tall, 9" diameter Vase has a unique (to my eyes) fired slip coating with embedded design... looks a bit like abstracted gingko leaves... quite lovely and very curious, I've not seen another like it. The base is unfired and marked in script with a name that starts (looks like) a "K....
There are concentric ridges in the vessel, which makes it feel like it was thrown on a potter's wheel. I'm just really interested in discovering this technique, and certainly interested if the ceramic artist is known. Thanks.
