Authenticating Coach Purse

I have a coach purse that I am trying to find out if it is authentic and can not find the serial number anywhere. I am hoping someone in this forum can help me.  The serial number on the Coach Creed is No. D2J-- 15140

Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.
