More info needed: did you return the item??  How long has it been since you received item??

By the way your system could also be failing...

it's been about a month or so. I did not return the HDD because the seller says that everything is fine with the item and it does not work for me. The system is fine because other external HDD work without errorhdd.jpg

ALL buyers have the Money Back Guarantee.  Read it and learn to use it to your advantage.

It doesn't matter what the seller claims.  You had 30 days to open an item not as described case with eBay.

That deadline has expired.

If you paid with Paypal, you have 180 days to open a case there.  Or, final option, do a chargeback with your credit card.

This could have been handled quickly and easily if you had familiarized yourself with the protection eBay offers to buyers.
