Looking for a part for a Kenmore Range

What’s the best forum to get a search for a part that seems discontinued by manufacturer?

Looking for a part for a Kenmore Range

@gac1gerry,

The first thing you should do is to search on your range to find the Mfr.'s info plate which has the model and serial numbers, of your unit on it. On free standing models it is usually on the back, but it could be inside the oven door frame. Counter top models may have it on the bottom.

With a model number you can try doing an online search for Kenmore model # user guide or manual. There should be sites that have free downloads of guide/manuals.  Many of the manuals give part numbers for burners, handles, knobs etc. and with one you can search ebay, or other sites for the part you need. Since Kenmore (Sears Brand) were actually made by named brand Mfr.'s like Maytag, GE, etc. Some of the sites may give you the part number from the original Mfr.

Good luck.

There is a website that has all Kenmore parts. Google the part number and item name and you should find it. Also try Amazon.  I recently bought a part for my old Kenmore dishwasher. I googled the website (I think it's called Part Direct but don't quote me) but I found the same part on Amazon cheaper.

There are a number of national parts suppliers. Start with getting the brand and model number along with parts number if you have it, then do an internet search. Many will have a parts diagram and parts number list. Once you have the parts number, you can come back and enter all that information in the search box and see if any are listed on eBay. If they are not listed, you can go back to where you found the information and order. Most of the ones I have used, are pretty good about showing if they are in stock or not.

Looking for a part for a Kenmore Range

I just replaced a bad igniter in my gas range. I looked up the stove model in Google, found 5 different parts suppliers, chose one and - presto. Many suppliers also offer step-by-step tutorials. Look for a PM...

Google would be my choice after a quick eBay search.
