How to obtain porting pin number of phone purchased from ebay

I purchased a new unlocked phone years ago. I don't remember the seller. I want to change carriers and was told that I needed a porting pin number from my current carrier. When I tried to get that, they refused and told me that ebay would have to give me that number. Can someone tell me where to start? PLEASE!

Your PIN was likely set when you set up the account with your current carrier.

Try the default number for your carrier:

It is unlikely that the original seller knows your PIN unless the seller also set up the account for you.

If you purchased your phone in 2018 or later, you can check your Purchase History for transaction information and to find the seller username. If you purchased earlier than that, you may recognize the seller username in your feedback if you exchanged feedback.
