Avoid RedTagCameras

This is an "F" graded company according to BBB, yet they have 100% buyer satisfaction according to eBay. They sold me a camera marked as new that already had some components open in box, and still tried to claim this was consistent with "new" item rather than "open box". They are good at gaming ratings system and eBay is protecting them, probably because eBay takes cut of what seller charges (from what I have read) and this is a very high volume seller. There are other serious complaints about seller on other parts of internet but eBay is scrubbing negative feedback.

BBB and ebay are two separate entities. People resourced the BBB with a couple complains while one was closed, hence the F rating. The only reason they are on the BBB is because someone opened a complaint through them and that's why it is on their website. I looked at the profile and it has 100% positive feedback because there was only 1 negative and the rest of the feedback was positive.

They sold me a camera marked as new that already had some components open in box, and still tried to claim this was consistent with "new" item rather than "open box".

Components Open in box? are you implying that items did not have packaging inside or that the camera box looked used or tampered with? (Sometimes there's security tape)

So that part peaked my curiosity and I was able to find out that the item sold may not be intended for a camera in the USA (Could be a Japanese part) and sadly that would not be something covered here in the US by the camera company. People have said it is like a grey market in a way.

You could try an INAD case or see in the listing if returns are offered. You can do a CC chargeback if you need to as well

I am not an eBay employee but I sure feel like one sometimes
