Patty Playpal hair falling out??

I got a Danbury Mint Patty Playpal doll at an auction that was mint in the box. I took her out today and her hair is falling out if you touch it. Has anyone had this problem? Or know why this would happen? Thank you in advance for any help.

I have the Patty Playpal, Saucy Walker, Shirley Temple, Bonnie Playpal, and Peter Playpal repros and all of them have disintegrating, shedding hair. I am so sad about my expensive collection just rotting.

How do you take the head off to re-root the hair?

they have been known to play pretty fast and furious [and unethically imo] they had a whole line of dolls that you got to see a cover pic ideal and not the doll itself and probably wondered why it didn't take off the ground. they did have a bjd type goth girl/vampire I wanted

MY RED HEAD PATTY PLAY PAL HAS NO BANGS - COMPLETELY GONE.

I thought it was just my doll losing hair until I found this board.  I still have my original blonde Patty Play Pal and her hair is still great.
