Been hospitalized for a "Low Salt Seizure" ...
Have any of you ever been thru that?

@whotoldya Oh no! So sorry to hear that you are in the hospital again.
I have only had my BP crash and pass out when I didn't have enough sodium because my BP runs on the low side to begin with.
Keith has to eat low sodium because he has high BP and kidney stone issues. So last year I forgot to salt my food a bit for a few days and passed out, thankfully I didn't get hurt too bad with the fall. I also drink a lot of water so that flushes out the electrolytes.
Bottom line is we need a MINIMUM of 500mg a day but not more than 2k is recommended. I have to stay closer to 2k.

DWB-sorry! I hope that you are better now. My chemo makes me have low sodium, so I have to eat salty stuff.

Thank you for your response Comics ... Very helpful ....
Glad you are aware of such a health issue as salt ...
Most are too much salt ... Mine is not enough ... It is a serious thing and we all need to learn more about it...
I have a Kidney Specialist guiding me thru all this .... He is a very calm likable doctor ... He gave me a prescription for salt pills 3 times a day
I need to cut back on liquids and increase my salt intake ... Hard to do when taking so many medications with water ... They need a lot of water to go down ... Some are very big pills ...
Any birds stopping by to visit you ?
