Trying to find some info on this Dalmatian error pin. Any ideas?

Bizarre. I'd guess unauthorized merchandise produced overseas by non-English speakers who didn't spot the error. Does it say Disnev instead of Disney?!

Apparently not an error, but a European version, at least according to this collectors site:

Well done on finding that. "Dalmantis" doesn't appear to mean "dalmations" in any known language though, so I am still baffled. Interesting to see that 6 people on that site say they want it.

I am just not buying that. "Walt Disnev"? "101 Dalmantis"? What European language would that be? No matter the country it's sold in, Disney merchandise is Disney merchandise. Those are typical spelling errors seen on Asian knock-off merchandise. That "collector's site" got it wrong.

You're right. None. Back to the error theory then.

Still, kudos for finding that! Needle in a haystack.

Perhaps it's some sort of intentional joke we're not getting? Like a badge in Klingon (or whatever).

Or maybe not an error, but a token attempt to evade copyright.

I thought the Disnev might just that, but Dalmantis seemed like too much. What I mean is, changing the y to a v in Disney is fairly subtle, and even works at a glance; but Dalmantis instead of Dalmatians is the opposite, sticking out like a sore thumb. But, deliberate or not, I say the errors make it an obvious knock-off.

Not portuguese for sure, bootlegged.
