UNUSUAL BRASS KEYS

2 1/8", TAPERED HOLLOW BARREL, STAMPED -  U.S.I.R.D. , any suggestions as to what these keys are from or for?

Possibly a railroad switch or car key.

Maybe this will help someone ID your keys.  I would guess they are for padlocks, and  I think  they are for what's usually called a Scandinavian (type) padlock.
