Is there anything in particular or special about these shakers that I can indicate in my ebay listing, i.e. artist, age, or are they just cute, run of the mill shakers. Thanks.

Are there any markings on them on the bottom maybe?

It's pretty easy to find these on eBay, Etsy, Amazon and more. Here's a decent example of how other sellers are listing them @jq927 :

Basically saying "made in Japan" and "mid-century vintage." A few listings are referring to them as clowns.

They are cute, look like kittens with a French Beret.

Thank you very much

Thank you, kittens never crossed my mind!

They're not kittens. It's a boy and girl. Look up these shakers and look up the coordinating egg cups.

They appear to be hand painted as each of the many I see listed is different from the others. The colors don't seem very mid-century to me, and I would place them more toward the end of the last century but that's just my opinion.
