Nippon doll identification

I purchased this little doll at an auction many years ago.  She is in her original clothing, shoes and stand. Her undergarments are sewn on.  I tried to research her on the internet and found a few obvious reproductions.  I would be most grateful for any information you could provide.

If you don't receive any replies here, or even if you do, you might want to post to the Dolls & Bears Group:

I'm probably telling you what you already know, but items were marked "Nippon" for import into the U.S. between 1891 and 1921.

Of course in manufacturing, there's lead time and lag time, but those are the general bracket dates for "Nippon"-marked items.
