The detail on this small statue interested me. When I first looked at the bottom I thought it was wood but I can tell by the chips that it must be resin. It is 10.25" high and weighs 6 lb. 1 oz. Any idea of age ? I can't find one like it. All info is wanted and appreciated.

Take photos as if you have the real thing, because it just might be. If you are here asking that means you don't know and the better and in focus your pictures are, you'll have a better chance of catching one of us to try.
The wood boring insect exit holes almost look real but I'm not going to stick my neck out without super crisp, in focus macro shots. Have you stuck a hot pin in one of those holes? What did it smell like? Plastic or burnt wood?
Show close ups of those chips you are talking about but before you do go to a large auction house site and look at how they do their pics. Yours need to be better with the close ups because we don't have the carving in hand.

Not sure why, but the label suggests 1960s or later to me.

My point is not if it is real or not, it's that the photos are wanting. I bet that I could take bad photos of a great piece I have, and it would get totally overlooked. Maybe I already have! 😦

No, you're good. Thanks for doing that.
