Help with print

Hi..I was wondering if someone could tell me what kind of print this is? I was thinking it was a poster but I see brush strokes on the black. And the creases and veining on the picture seems odd. I have hardly any knowledge of art except I think I am a bit good at identifying water color and oil but not good at all in prints, lithographs, etchings etc. Walking out with it, someone said it was a watercolor..huh? which, made me curious and had me looking at it more closely. Now I have no clue as to why I see brush strokes and veining. Not sure if it had been rolled up would it have contributed to that? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!20220422_103449.jpg

Did you know that it says Picasso? Might be a good starting place to begin your research.  Picasso, 1945.

Go ahead and post a picture of it so with printer's marks others can see what you came up with. Picasso lithos can have good value.

printer marks? I just assumed it was a lithograph because the others I saw stated thats what they had. I guess I was wrong in assuming? Heres another photo if that helps. This pic is rough compared to ones I found. 20220422_110515.jpg

Help with print

I took the picture out of frame because the ones I saw online were on board so I wanted to see if this one was as well. It's not, but appears to have been trimmed. Not sure what sonomabarn67 meant by printers mark so I attached a few more pictures out of frame. I am still curious as to why this would have cracking or veining. Nor am I sure, what kind of print this is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again.20220424_084343.jpg20220424_084304.jpg20220424_084320.jpg20220424_084221.jpg

I don't quite know what you have, but those striations are surely damage/creasing.

Help with print

It is probably ink in combination with thick paper and, with being rolled and adverse storage conditions, it would produce the separation damage.

OP needs to show pictures of what they found. We can't take their word, we need pictures and sizes.

OP, The four drawings are non-Picasso beginner art class stuff so just concentrate on the Picasso print please.

Help with print

Thank you sonomabarn67. It is damaged but I would still like to know what kind of print it is to have made the damage. The size is 20  1/4 x 16. I'm not really sure what pics you would like to see. And I really appreciate your input and will provide whatever it is you would like to see. I added what was inside the frame along with the picture because of the four squares on the back. Just a explanation as to why it had those shadows. Nothing more. I said "was" picasso, because this is so damaged. Let me know what it is you would like to see that will help. Much appreciated. I have no words, other than to say, I don't know what kind of print this is.

Other sellers evidently have the same difficulty. In these WorthPoint listings it is variously described as a woodcut, a lithograph and a serigraph (quite a few of them seem to have creases/scratches):

The one on this site is apparently an artist's proof (unlike yours) and hand-signed (unlike yours), which is why it's so expensive. They say it's a lithograph. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any way to view the full description without registering first:

Show a picture of that. And the size of what you found and provide a link to the information you say you found so we can compare that info with your original item that you posted. I don't know how else to ask for this basic information.

These are the 2 links I found after I searched Picasso 1945. They both said Litho, so I assumed mine was too. Wrong on my part to assume, but I was happy to find something with your help. But then, they both said theirs was on board or wood which then, I wanted to see if mine was as well. I, originally thought it was a poster and curious as to why it had cracks and all on it.

https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/pablo-picasso-litho-print-1945-paloma-455997269

This one says Length is 21 inches tall and 18 inches but they may have included the wood its mounted on.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/324929715019

This one says DIMENSIONS INCLUDING THE FRAME : 25”H x 21”W.

Neither says what the actual print size is. Mine, I feel is worthless in comparison, but happy with it as it is now a conversation piece. Argon38 just provided links which I never saw in different types of prints, very helpful but I am more confused.
