Help ID maker 6 point embossed star

Hi!

I recently purchased a covered sugar and creamer set.  The bottom has a 6 point embossed star.  Would anyone know the maker?

sounds like you have porcelain? if so post on the pottery, glass and porcelain group.  the star is probably not a makers mark.  these were used to strenghten the bottom and are often seen in early 20th century german porcelain.
