When did folk art, clay, become a race to see who could make the stupidest face jug?
And this is an art? To me it looks like untalented kids trying to make a buck. I love Georgia Blizzard's works; there, there is a narrative. Or at the minimum, interesting techniques.

I'm in Georgia. We, like the Carolinas, have a long history of producing face jugs - from the early 1800s. Some are funny, some are downright ugly and others are beautiful. It is all in the eyes of the beholder. I have collected them along with 'siggie' (signature) jugs and memory jugs for years. As stated above, some can be very expensive.
