I have been watching these 1805 Royal Crown Derby moulded floral plates in one of my patterns to go on sale for a year. I bought them and still paid $100 only to have them arrive from England poorly packaged.
What an unlucky week. Two prints hyped up as authentic paintings and smashed dishes. All three sellers very slow to respond-two didn’t at all.
Also had a seller sell a “brand new wallet”, but use poor lighting to hide a razor slice in the leather. I hate deceptive and evasive practices from any seller. Don’t you? Simple mistake or more?
After reflection, I thought I should try to be more positive and share the good along with the bad. My Limoges Coronet game plates arrived perfectly.
Also, I had several more items to arrive without a hitch. Hope other members had a great week.

Lovely display of your plates. Glad those arrived safely. Sorry about the ones that didn't.

I'm sorry you've had such bad results recently.
For the wallet, at least, the slash in the leather was visible in the primary photo of the listing. It appears that the stitching goes overtop of the slash, which suggests that it's very superficial, and doesn't actually affect the integrity of the leather surface.
It should have been mentioned in the description though.

The wallet could have been brand new and sold to your seller by the retailer with that flaw, not an unheard of situation.

Thank you very much. On a positive note, I have just received a refund on the broken dishes.

Thanks for pointing this out. I bought this as a gift. I’m afraid it will be immediately obvious to the recipient and feel like the seller was aware as I was opening it.
