This note states that it is a Gutschein. A Gutschein can be a voucher or a coupon.
Size: 95mm X 59mm.
Grade: Almost Uncirculated.

Note: This paper money was issued in several different color combinations. The nicest is black font on orange paper. Heron's note is not the black font on orange. Heron has the black font on medium blue underprint. The blue is somewhat faded now.
Town of Emmendingen is located on the Elz River in Baden, about 47 miles E. of the French Border.

1590-Received full town rights from Emperor. Including the 'right' to enclose town with wall.
