963 - Title Count of Letzeburg first used by the Ardennes family.
1715 - Treaty of Utrecht: Hapsburg rule is confirmed. Duchy of Letzeburg
integrated into the Hapsburg southern Nederlanden.
1789 - Ruler Joseph Benedikt August Hapsburg-Lotharingia aka Joseph II.
1795 - Letzeburg invaded by France.
1815 - French rule ends. The Grand Duchy of Letzeburg created by Congress
of Vienna.
Note: In 1985 the Administration of Letzeburg declared that the language
Letzebuergesch was the National Language.
