I am having issues with this platform with answering questions or them not getting in touch with a customer why is that?

Who is "them"?  Are you sending messages to sellers with questions?  Answering messages isn't mandatory.   Are you talking about customer service?  If you have a specific question about buying/selling, post it here https://community.ebay.com/t5/Ask-a-Mentor/bd-p/ask-a-mentor and get help from mentors who are well-versed in using eBay.

My issue is that we paid for a lawnmower and it was sent to someone else and eBay won't do anything about it and I can prove that we paid for it that's my issue

No I am not sending anymore messages to the seller I don't get any response so I am trying to get a response from eBay and that is who I meant by them

These are the eBay Community Boards, composed of volunteer sellers and buyers who attempt to answer questions regarding eBay policies, or to suggest solutions to buyer and seller problems.

 

It is not a method to communicate with anybody at eBay, since eBay employees do not regularly read these boards; and they ONLY respond to particular questions addressed specifically to them, by name.

 

Have you opened up an "item not received" case against the seller?

It doesn't surprise me the way ebay is now. I tried to cancel something that is a copy Chanel No 5 & ebays new Rule starting soon which is already happening is to tell the buyer it was sent. I could not contact anyone. I am going to see what happens with the returns then see what action to take.
