Am I right that the book has very little if any value? I couldn't find that title but did find others by the same author. Thanks.

Ask any question about any book Part II

This is not so much a book as a small, digest size magazine or soft-cover book.

"The Canoe & Small Boat'
"Incorporating The Outboard"
1939 Annual 1/6
5" X 7-1/4" , 104 pages
Published by The Canoe & Small Boat Ltd
London

Heavy stock covers with a French wrap glued down

I can't find anything about it anywhere to get comps.
I checked all of the normal places + ebay.uk

From looking through it there was evidently a magazine named Canoe & Small Boats and this was an annual. ( don't know what the 1/6 means ... maybe 1 of 6 ? )

Anyone have any ideas where I might find a listing or something about it ?
Would think there would be collector interest.

"1/6" is the price--one shilling and sixpence, but I don't know anything about the book.

Book is :

THE FAMILIAR GUIDE TO PARIS
by John H. Ware
dated 1928, Methuen published with dust jacket

Not an expensive book, jacket brings value up some as does condition.

This one has a gift inscription from the author and is dated.

Would that increase the value very much ?

It's a modest plus value, but not a large one.

Just picked up a Zane Grey, The Light of Western Stars, , didn't think much about it, looks like I see it described "green cloth boards with black and red trim"... Opened it up to find a different Zane Grey inside, The Man of the Forest copyright 1920 by Harper Brothers- very strange

But wait - there's more... inside lists a frontispiece and illustrations, which also don't exist but that is obviously bound within the Man of the Forest innards.

So is this a known anomaly which might qualify as ephemera or is it just goofy and maybe someone was playing around?

I should add that I know very little about Zane Grey's books besides reading them as a kid.

Thanks for any help.

Binding error, which typical de-values the book.

I have retired and am selling some of my professional library. This book seems rather obscure and I would like to determine it's possible value and desirablility. Thank you for any insight you can give.
