Personally, I'd try to sell them as a set.

But that's personal opinion. Not a professional opinion.

I probably wouldn't have bought them in the first place.

I didn't buy them, they are my daughter's books (she has outgrown them) so nothing lost but listing fees if they don't sell. I'm leaning toward set. I checked Abe Books thanks to the info tacked to the top of this board and it looks like they are rather inexpensive to buy there. Mine are in great condition and if someone can get a set all in one place it may be worth it to them.

Well, eBay is a crapshoot.

It won't cost much to list them....

Ebay is indeed a crap shoot. It constantly surprises me at what sells and what doesn't.

I have another question. I hopefully will need to ship this 8 book set eventually. Is there a proper way to package books? I always pack my things in a zip bag before it goes in a box or mailer just in case the package gets wet, but I'm concerned about the books shifting against each other and causing damage in transit. Is there a best way to safeguard against this? Also, do you always use a box? Do you ever ship in a polymailer?

SATNROSE:

I have a book called THE WRAITH by STEVEN J. BERNSTEIN. Yet when I punch in the ISBN:0939306034 I end up with a book called HERMIONE by STEVEN J. BERNSTEIN.
Are they the same book and would eBay be a good place to sell it?

Thanks,
Jeremy

It's about time somebody asked me a really tough question!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Jesse_Bernstein

http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~zealots/sjb/bibliog.html

My first inclination was to believe it was a printing error.

My second inclination was to believe it was a publisher's error.

But now, I think it was due to Bernstein's craziness or laziness.

He was a psycho poet.

According to WorldCat, both books have the same ISBN.

University of Washington has both books,
but they have different paginations.

I think they're almost certainly two separate books,
but with psycho poets, you never know.

I would think you have something quite valuable.

I have no idea what it is worth.

If twere mine, I'd list it as a eBay auction
with the minimum starting price of $1000.

Mind you, this is not what I think the book is worth,
but simply how I would roll the dice.

eBay is a crapshoot . .

Then if it didn't sell [which is probable],
I'd relist it for $199.99.

I wouldn't go any lower than that price.

Of course, further research may prove me wrong.....

Ok, further research proved me wrong:

there are three copies on Amazon in the $75 range.

Anybody have any thoughts on the value of this book?

http://product.half.ebay.com/_W0QQcpidZ1188492576QQprZ5218900

I havn't been able to actually find one for sale even though it seems to be in the catalog for all the big used book sites.

Thanks a lot!

Thank you Satnrose that was a fantastic amount of research. I still wonder though why none of the ones on Amazon have a ISBN?

Could mine be a misprint worth more or did you find an article that says they both have the same ISBN?

Either way that guy really was nuts.

Thanks.
