Skipper doll question

I have a bend leg brunette Skipper doll that has U.S.A. on the bottom of her right foot. I thought they were made in Japan. Any thoughts?

There are some Skippers made in USA from mid 60's to mid 70's if I remember correctly. There are some made in Taiwan, Korea, Japan and USA in the same years. Some differences are in the eyes (which direction they are looking) and the hair coloring. You can Google them and get more information.
