skin irritations from item sent

hi, i bought a cell phone which i am now sending back but here is the problem,i recieved the phone today and after holding it for a minute or so my fingers started to burn and i could smell something funny.i put the phone down and went and washed my hands,still was burning a put some ointment  on 2 of my fingers and still are band aid up,the phone was gold in the listing and when i got it it was bright silver,this person used some kind of paint remover to take of the gold to get the phone back to original.you still can find the gold color on the phone,i had to put the phone in a plastic zip bag and you can not touch it without gloves,what should i do in this situation,thanks
