shopping cart trick or bug??? by adding to cart not buy now

I am now afraid to use eBay's shopping cart because sometimes when you add items in the eBay's shopping cart it can changed to "you've committed to buy". I have never seen walmart.com, newegg, target or any online shopping cart try to make you pay for adding item to compare or leave for latter try to make you pay for adding to a cart. Note: I did not click buy now again I did not click BUY NOW I clicked add to cart. here is a few ebays own FAQ says about the cart

When do I actually own the item? You're not committed as a buyer until you pay. Fixed price items that you've added to your basket but not paid for remain available for other buyers to purchase. Whoever checks out and pays first gets the item. (This is different to clicking 'Buy it now' to secure an item, and paying for it later on.) And as always, if you bid on an auction-style item, you're committed to purchase if you win.

How does eBay's shopping basket work for fixed price items? On fixed price listings, you'll see a new Add to basket button. Simply click this button to add items to your basket. You're not committed until you pay.

What's the benefit of using the eBay shopping basket rather than my Watch list? The eBay shopping basket allows you to compare many items at the same time and see the total cost, including postage, before checkout. It also allows you to pay for multiple items from multiple sellers at the same time

Can I remove items from my eBay shopping basket? Yes. There is a 'Remove' link below each item in the basket. You can remove any item, except auction-style listings that you've won, and Best Offers that have been accepted. These can't be removed because you've already committed to pay for the item. Fixed price items automatically disappear once they show as paid within My eBay. They will still be available in My eBay for the same period of time as they are today.

Notice I was not able to remove the item and had to ask the seller for help which the seller did not know why eBay was doing this. After the seller canceled the item THAT WAS IN MY SHOPPING CART not a buy now eBay sent me a note saying "an unpaid item can be recorded on your account and result in future restrictions to your account." and this is why I am afraid to use eBay's shopping cart. I have 1559 positive feedbacks at 100%. I have looked on the internet about this and have found others having this happen to them as well. EBay says " You're not committed as a buyer until you pay" but eBay must have a bug or eBay lied because I click add to cart and it was in cart plus I have a picture showing it was in cart with eBay saying You're not committed and eBay saying "an unpaid item can be recorded on your account and result in future restrictions to your account." I hope you read this and I hope you understand what I an talking about.

P.S. I bet noone is going to contact me about this.
