Hello
I recently had an issue where I was in my.ebay.com and tried to view one of my listings and was presented with a "Enter verification code" screen. When it actually was showing a number to enter (rather than the ebay logo as the verification image), the number would not work.
I called customer service and noted I was a high volume seller and saw no blocks or holds on my account, and they were just as baffled. Clearing my cache/cookies/saved data plus a reboot of my machine yielded the same result -- a seemingly broken "Enter verfication code" page with no access to my account.
I tried a different PC in the house and still no luck. So on a whim I decided to change my network access from the cable modem to my MiFi device -- two completely different IPs -- and suddenly I'm able to login to ebay as if nothing happened.
obviously this wasn't an issue with my particular account being blocked, but appears to be an issue of ebay blocking the IP from which I was attempting to log in from.
I've been working from this IP with no problem for about 4 months now, it's from a major provider (Time Warner Cable) and I'm a customer who has made a decent amount of money for the company (not that it should matter, but it does), but I can't for the life of me figure out who to contact to resolve this issue. Explicity stating my issue with customer support yields the same response, and the problem is not covered anywhere in ebay's support/help section.
I'm desperate for any guidance on this!
thanks
