why after years of selling Magazines media mail  i cannot ?  Only first class mail , talked to ebay about it no help

Magazines have never been allowed to ship Media Mail - they contain ads.

You apparently were able to get away with doing something wrong for years.  Magazines were never allowed to be shipped via MM because of ads.  Magazines are NOT 'educational materials'.

To add... you are very lucky you weren't caught. The post office can open and inspect any Media Mail package to verify that the contents are allowed.
