late uploading of tracking

Is there any way to appeal a late uploading of tracking.  I had a buyer ask me to delay shipment of an item.  I talked to ebay staff about the buyer's request to delay shipment and told them I would like to accommodate the buyer's request.  They told me I would get a defect for late shipment but I could get it removed because I was shipping late at the buyer's request.  Ebay gave me the defect and I was able to get it removed.  Ebay also dinged me for late uploading of tracking.  I was late uploading tracking because I delayed shipping to accommodate the buyer.  I would not be purchasing a shipping label until the shipping date agreed upon with the buyer.  When I did purchase the shipping label the tracking was uploaded.  Ebay refuses to remove the late uploading of tracking.  I would like to appeal that decision if there is a way to do so.  I've never had a late uploading of tracking before in the 8 plus years I've been selling on ebay.  I thought if ebay considered late shipping to accommodate a buyers request was a legitimate reason to remove the late shipping defect it should be a legitimate reason to remove the late uploading of tracking.
