how to cancel order if i have already refunded through paypal

buyer asked me to cancel his order since he said he never purchased the item and had no idea what happened.  he also had a charge for a charity. i refunded the money right way in paypal and then realized when i cancel the order in ebay it asks me to refund the money.  is there a way to cancel an ebay order without refunding again?  the item was $22 so maybe it isn't even worth it.  just wondering
