If I'm (seller) providing free shipping for a sold and paid for item, how much handling time does FastNFree allow?

There is no specific requirement.  However, eBay puts the Fast N Free logo on your listing based on their estimated delivery date, which in turn is based partly on the  handling time that you chose for the listing.
