I used to use a digital camera that saved photos to a floppy disk, and then I would insert that disk into the floppy drive. Updated the computer, and no floppy drive, so had to purchase an external floppy drive. My son gave me his digital camera when he upgraded his. Now I have a cable from the camera to my computer and I transfer the files onto my computer's hard drive.
