eBay automatically upgraded all my items and charged fees

Hi , I have 100 items  for safe and each item is very cheap cost from 5 dollars to  $30.00 that is why I never upgrade any item because I do not want to pay more fees. I was surprised and noticed that all my listing items were bold in titles recently which they were  not at the beginning and the eBay charged me  25.50 for updating. During 8 and 9 I made only less than $50.00 in sale and after deduct the shipping costs , eBay and PayPal fees and materials  I-made only $3.00 but have to pay ebay $33.00 fees. My question is why and how they upgraded all my listing without my acknowledgement then bill me for that? Is it a one time fee or every month  fee? So frustrated for the beginner to learn to sell on eBay.
