changing attribute but saving the options

how do I change the attribute on a "Sell Similar" auction but still keep my options

Is this a Variation listing? 

There is no easy way to change the Attribute but keep the Options. I haven't tested if you can download a file correct it on excel and re-upload, that is the only way I can think of that might work. 
But in general, the options are linked to the attribute and if you change the attribute you will need to add options again.

I actually got that answer in Google, but thank you for the reply.  Maybe Ebay will figure out how to do it in the near future.  I deal in non sportscards and  sports cards and there is a lot of parallels for each set.  Would tremendously help any card sellers.  Thanks again.
