change default search settings

I want to know if there is a way to change the default search setting to "US only". I am sick and tired of having to wade through hundreds of unwanted junk products from China. Every seach I do, I have to go and reset the area to "US only" and if I make a simple change in my search bar, I again have go back and reset the format again and again and again.... There has to be a solution! Any help to permantly reset this setting woul be greatly appreciated!!
