cancellation of a refund

I purchased an item on ebay, the seller never shipped the item or contacted me. I requested an update an the seller cancelled the order, I ws told I would get a refund, the seller had sent a refund to my papypal, but then the order was cancelled and I confirmed it with paypal. I still have a request by ebay to verify if I received payment, but nothing about confirming a cancelled refund.
