Did you mean:

You've reached your limit for auction-style listings

Hi all,

Why is there a limit on the amount of auctions I can bid on? Someone is selling his collection and has little over 50 eBay auctions open. Currently I'm the highest bidder on a few of them, but I can't bit on any of his other items because I receive this message: "You've reached your limit for auction-style listings". What is the max amount of bids I can make, and is this limited per day or in general? Also, his auctions ends tomorrow, if I have this limit does this mean I have to choose which items I want to bid on and are forced to let the others go, even though I'd also like to buy them? And one more question, is this limit a legitimate reason to cancel a bit, so I can bit on another item I saw later on and which I preferably want to buy out of the two?

EDIT: I've looked around a bit and see that this restriction is only for new eBay accounts without enough sell/buy ratings yet. I've also found that the limit is 10 and that it reset on the first day of each month. Now only one question remains: Can I cancel a bit on one item so I'm able to bit on another with this limit as the legitimate reason?

Thanks in advance for the responses,

Greetings,

Kevin
