What is the difference between Relist item vs. Sell Similar item?

Hello community, When I'm trying to refresh old listings that have extremely low views or high views but no one is buying, I usually end the listing to give it a fresh start. However, I always have two options 1) Relist Item or 2) Sell Similar item. What is better? What is the difference? Does any of them give it a better chance of a sale or boost in views?

Assuming it hasn't changed, and I know no way of checking, relist carries over views and impressions, sell similar does not.

So if an item had a lot of views and no sales, it would be better to use sell similar if you want to end and restart it.
