What does it mean when a return is closed just after requesting a return?

I requested a refund of an item that is ill fitting.  It is the same size from a brand I buy from often but came from the UK (I am in the US).   The following day I received and email from ebay saying the return is "Closed".  Does that mean it's been rejected?  Not sure.  Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, seller has declined your return request.  Or if you still received a refund, no return is required.
